If you’re ready to take a step toward relating to God in real community with others, Sunday Night Connections is the best place to start connecting more deeply in the Resurrection Community (“Belong” on our path). This is a regular meeting for all ages on Sunday nights from 5-6:30 PM at the VLC Building (right next to the Princess Anne Rec Center)
What is Sunday night connections?
Sunday Night Connections is a place for connecting people to people and the Bible to life. From 5:00-5:30 all ages gather and mingle with food available for those who want it (we call it a “snack dinner”) and then from 5:30-6:30 we meet in age-divided groups (preschool, elementary, teens, adults) to build relationships with peers and learn from the Bible in an age-appropriate way.
what if I’m not a member of Resurrection?
You’re still welcome to come! And while there is something for every age, if you would like to drop off elementary kids or teens for their groups without staying yourself, you are welcome to do so.
Do I have to come every week?
No, Sunday Night Connections is designed as an “open” time that is easy for people to join in on any given week and come as frequently or infrequently as they are able. And while Sunday Night Connections happens most weeks, it does not actually happen every week (like if we have a fellowship lunch after morning worship or if the space is unavailable), so if you’re thinking of coming for the first time or come somewhat irregularly, double-check the calendar or give us an RSVP to let us know you’re coming.
What is a “snack dinner”?
It is enough food to “count” as dinner, especially for kids and teens, but it’s not complicated or fancy. Each week, we have veggies, chips, string cheese, go-gurts, and fruit cups, and then something a little more substantial, like hot dogs or taquitos or chicken nuggets. We want to make it easy for people to participate in Sunday night connections while keeping the main focus on the relationships and digging into the Bible, rather than on the food
