New Women's Bible study with Children's Program

Our next season of Monday morning women’s Bible study begins Feb 2nd with 12 weeks of Hinged: Vitally Connected to Christ and His Church, a study of the book of Ephesians. This is a great opportunity for women to connect with God and one another. Any woman is welcome to come, regardless of your level of faith or Bible knowledge, whether you attend Resurrection or not. For the children’s program, Pastor Jimmy will be leading Basic Answers to Big Questions, an active learning time of Bible stories and truths based on the First Catechism (please RSVP to participate in the children’s program!)

Details

  • Mondays, 9:30-11:00 AM, at the building of Victorious Living Church, between the Princess Anne Rec Center and Jose Tequilas. This time includes solid Bible teaching from the Hinged team, structured discussion time, and time to share and pray for one another. Plan to come a little early or stay after for more casual connecting time.

  • Hinged: Vitally Connected to Christ and His Church is a study of the Bible book of Ephesians created by a team of women from our denomination, coming from a variety of age ranges and backgrounds, but blended together as one voice to share the glorious gospel truths found in Ephesians. If you’re not able to come Mondays (or miss a Monday), you can find all the video teaching and more information on the Hinged website. There is no homework required for participation in Monday mornings, but if you’d like to go deeper in personal study of Ephesians, there is a companion workbook available (digital download here) with additional written insights and questions for guided study.

  • Children’s activities for all ages, but RSVP is required. Child drop-off opens at 9:15 AM and pick-up is not required until 11:30 AM to allow for the casual connecting time. Snacks (pretzels or raisins) are provided. Pastor Jimmy taught Basic Answers to Big Questions to kids of varied ages for a number of years as a family pastor before he planted Resurrection Community, sometimes referring to it as the “running and jumping catechism class.” The First Catechism, around which the class is based, is a summary of basic Bible truths in memorized question and answer format, such as “Who made you? God”

  • Covid precautions: We will be following all standard Covid precautions. If you or your children have fever or other Covid symptoms, or have had a positive Covid test or known exposure, please stay home until you have been medically cleared or have gone 24 hours symptom-free and no positive test. Masks should be worn while indoors by everyone ages 5 and up (unless medically exempt). In addition, the adult gathering is in the large worship space with plenty of room to spread chairs six feet apart.
